I began life drawing in 2002 in Kenosha, Wisconsin at an art coop. As long as I can remember I've dreamt of becoming a classical-style oil painter.
I've attended the weekly Monday night life drawing class at CoCoA since moving back to Colorado in 2004 and have coordinated the class since 2005. I don't have much formal training as an artist, other than taking several oil painting classes from Rachel Herrera. I've done a fair amount of reading, a lot of drawing, and about 6 years ago started shooting photos to try and help me learn color and composition.
Since then I have fallen in love with photography and while the majority of my photography is of sunsets and nature, I am beginning to explore studio photography and people as the subject.
